Why Most Ceramic Coatings Don’t Perform — And What Actually Works
THE PROBLEM
Most vehicles never stay clean or protected for long, even after being detailed.
In Colorado, your paint is constantly exposed to sun, dirt, and environmental buildup. Over time, this breaks down the surface and makes it harder to maintain a clean, consistent finish. Temporary protection like wax wears off quickly, leaving your vehicle exposed again.
- UV exposure fades and dulls paint
- Dirt and contaminants bond to the surface
- Swirl marks build up from regular washing
- Short-term protection fails within weeks
THE SOLUTION
A properly applied ceramic coating changes how your vehicle holds up over time.
Instead of temporary protection, it creates a durable layer over your paint that resists buildup, maintains gloss, and protects the finish from daily exposure. When applied correctly, it allows your vehicle to stay cleaner longer and hold its condition without constant upkeep.
- Long-lasting paint protection
- Hydrophobic surface that repels water and dirt
- Consistent gloss and finish
- Reduced maintenance over time
WHAT YOU ACTUALLY GET
The difference comes down to preparation and application.
A ceramic coating is only as good as the surface it’s applied to. At Evolution Customs, every coating starts with proper prep so it bonds correctly and performs the way it should long-term.
- Full surface decontamination
- Paint refinement where needed
- Professional ceramic coating application
- Even coverage across all painted surfaces

Questions About Our Ceramic Coating Packages
Ceramic Coating offers far superior protection compared to traditional wax. It forms a permanent bond with your vehicle's paint, providing a harder, more durable shield that lasts for years, unlike wax, which needs frequent reapplication.
Yes, Ceramic Coating can be applied over PPF to enhance its protective qualities. This combination offers excellent resistance against UV rays, chemical stains, and minor scratches, further extending the life of your paint protection.
While Ceramic Coating significantly reduces the frequency and effort required for washing, it does not eliminate the need entirely. The hydrophobic properties make washing easier and less frequent, but regular maintenance is still recommended.
CARPRO and IGL both require meticulous surface preparation and careful application. However, CARPRO tends to have a slightly quicker cure time, while IGL focuses on eco-friendly formulations with a bit more flexibility in the application environment.
Ceramic Coating is primarily designed for painted surfaces, but it can also be applied to wheels, glass, and trim. However, each surface may require a different preparation method and specific product formulation.
The curing time for Ceramic Coating can vary depending on environmental conditions. Generally, it takes 24-48 hours for the initial cure, with full curing reaching its peak protection within 7 days.
